Only the local charities can request a translator. There is a place in Albacete (city near Iniesta) where they translate their documents. Sometimes, there are courses to learn the language. Also, they are given a quick guide with the most popular expressions in Spanish to start a living.

They also help you to write an application, get a interview for the job you want, or simply help you to send the application to the right location. They can help you out with SU (education money) or unemployment benefits. They can also help you to choose an education or to figure out if you have the skills to receive an education which is taught in Danish.

For refugees In the area of Northern Ostrobothnia there are multiple Finnish language courses provided by different places. In TE-offices, there is a possibility to support integrating people’s Finnish studies. To start studying, one must plan it with the TE-office.

They need to register in the townhall. The charities train the refugees with especific courses. When they have the formation, they start to work. They can legalize their situation after two years of permanent job. Children under 16 must go to school, so they need to register and attend classes.

This place, called El Torreon, it’s the last rest of a medieval castle which was situated in the highest zone of the town. At the end of the Middle Ages, this castle was sent to be destroyed, after the victory of Catholic Kings against the Marqués de Villena, owner of the castle and Iniesta. There is a bullfighting arena which in the past was used as a public place for celebrations. Few years ago, they found a piece of the Iberia Age. Today, we use this place as Iniesta tourism office and we maintain the municipal clock.

In Iniesta, we have a Cáritas hostel, which depends on the Catholic church. They can stay there for some time. After that, they are sent to ACCEM. In our town, there are not especific resources. Only we help with procedures.

Refugees live here in an accommodation centre until they get a residence permit. Then they are equal citizens with the same rights and responsibilities that all Finns have. The officials are advised to use an interpreter when they can´t speak the refugees` language. The social workers of the accommodation centre start to help refugees to find an apartment.
