The exchange of students is the key action of the Erasmus+ projects. The learning-teaching-trainning travels allow to the students to be conscious of their european citizenship.
The trip is complemented with activities to learn more about the customs and the culture of the country.
Day 5 The Finnish visit ends and it’s time to say goodbye… Italian and Spanish groups bid farewell from their hosting families. They will be in our hearts forever. Thank’s for your your hospitality. KIITOS!!
Day 4 It was a long and tired day so that the students had free time with their families in Oulu. They went to the football field, took some pictures and bid farewell to the Danish group that took their flight in the early morning.
Day 4 Knowing to Santa’s friends And the fourth day of the visit to Finland ends. On the way to Oulu the Integrapp+ group could visit a reindeer farm. In the country, the reindeers felt free and the farm owners, a kindly married couple, gave to the students and teachers some reindeer food so that they could offer to the reindeers. This way, the reindeers came to their hands. It was a lovely time!. Day 4 Bye bye Oivanki! On the way, the group visit Oulanka, a Finnish National Park bordering with Russia. They could walk thoughout the Park over 2 hours, having a break to have the packed meal, including some sausages to grill beside a river. During the hike, students and teachers could breath clean air, hear the sound of the rapids and see a waterfall. It was a tired but exciting activity.
Day 3 Relax! The Integrapp+ group ended the third day of the Finnish visit following the Finnish customs. Firstly, the began having grilled sausages and pancakes rounding a fire, some of them inside a “kota”, the name of the saamis’ houses, and some of them outside it, beside a lake. Day 3 After playing to the work group games, the Oivanki camp staff prepared an enjoying activity: print our personalized T-shirts. They teached to students and teachers the way a t-shirt is manually printed so that each of them could make a personalized one. All of us had fun, firstly choosing between different templates and colors, next painting their own words or figures. Once the students painted the t-shirts it was time to dry them with a hairdryer and iron them about 2-3 minutes. The result was amazing. You can see them in the Instagram profile @oivankikuusamo
Day 3 Funny day! The third day has been a chance to learn at the time that the students play. The Integrapp+ group have traveled to Oivanki, a camp in Kuusamo, Lapland, close to the border of Russia. It has been another great activity of this journey. Firstly, the staff of the Oivanki camp told to the students about the characteristics of a good group. At this time, the students didn’t understand anything about it. Day 2 The second day of the visit finished with free time for students and teachers. All of them began knowing the city center, the town hall building… and finally visiting the seaside and the Oulu port. Beautiful places to live in. The teachers ended their day meeting in their host hotel and the students had free time with their families in the youth center and in the football field. It’s time to rest to the next and long day.
Day 2 The Erasmus+ group continued the second day of the visit knowing about the situation of the refugees and immigrants that arrive to Finland, in most cases not speaking even english. Immigrant students and their teachers of the OSAO vocational college told to the Erasmus+ members about their situation, know and when they arrived to Finland. In groups, the students could make questions to them. A gratifying activity for all of us. Thank’s to the OSAO immigrants, teachers and to the Finnish coordinators for the opportunity.
Day 2 The music room of the Finnish school is the perfect place to record the project hymn. The hymn was composed and written by the Spanish students. In this visit to Finland, all the students have sung their corresponding chorus in their own language and one of them in english while the Spanish students have sung all the lyrics in Spanish. The result of that season is a wonderful song that talks about the topic of the project. in a few days it will be possible to watch a video of the recording season.
